LiverScript
LiverScript assists in liver support and protection while providing additional antioxidant benefits.
The liver is responsible for a great number of key functions in the body including detoxification, digestion, glycogen storage, plasma protein synthesis, hormone production and the decomposition of red blood cells.
These important functions are constantly being performed and we only ever become aware of our liver’s importance when its function is compromised. The liver has a remarkable capacity for repair and regeneration, but can be harmed by many toxic substances.
LiverScript provides optimal support for phase I as well as phase II of liver detoxification to ensure all toxins are completely processed.
Indications:
- Supports phase I and phase II liver detoxification.
- Provides liver support and repair in acute and chronic liver disease.
- Promotes normal bile synthesis and secretion.
- Supports hormonal balance.
- May reduce alcohol cravings.
- Supports immune and allergy protocols.
- Supports and balances the digestive system.
Detoxification, regeneration, protection, repair
Milk thistle has two main constituents, silymarin and silybin. Their antioxidant and free radical-scavenging effects are thought to be responsible for their liver protective effects. Silibinin, the main component of silymarin, has a strong affinity for the cytochrome P450 detoxification enzymes, which the liver uses to break down toxins in phase I. Silymarin seems to alter outer hepatocyte cell membranes, stabilising them and inhibiting the binding and entry of toxins.
NAC (N-acetyl cysteine) protects the liver from damage from advanced glycation end products. It increases production of the body’s primary antioxidant, glutathione, in the liver. NAC helps support the liver by protecting it from potential damage due to drug-induced elevations of bile salts and bilirubin.
Dandelion has a component called taraxasterol which has antioxidant properties to protect the liver. Dandelion supports phase I and phase II detoxification enzymes in the liver. Dandelion also functions as a cholagogue by also stimulating the release of stored bile from the gallbladder and may therefore alleviate constipation as well as gallstones.
Active antioxidant support
Alpha lipoic acid is an organo-sulphur compound present in many foods and is naturally found in the human body where it acts as a powerful antioxidant. It is essential for aerobic metabolism as it is a cofactor of many enzymes involved in energy production.
Green tea is rich in polyphenolic compounds, with catechins as its major component. Studies have shown that catechins possess diverse pharmacological properties that include anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogenic, anti-arteriosclerotic and antibacterial effects.
Unique benefit for persons consuming alcohol
Kudzu vine, due to its isoflavonoid content, is responsible for lowering blood alcohol levels, and also for decreasing voluntary alcohol ingestion by influencing areas of the central nervous system that control the desire for alcohol. Kudzu therefore would be of potential benefit to frequent drinkers attempting to reduce their alcohol consumption.
Kudzu may also facilitate the elimination of acetaldehyde from the body thereby accelerating recovery from hangovers.
Vitamin B1 is not made endogenously in humans and therefore it needs to be consumed in the diet or taken as a supplement. Many cirrhosis patients are found to be deficient in vitamin B1. Vitamin B1 may also help reduce alcohol cravings.
Current modern lifestyles bombard the liver with toxins from a myriad of sources and it needs our help. LiverScript by Medford provides much-needed support by delivering targeted herbs and antioxidants to assist liver detoxification and repair while providing it with antioxidant protection.

FAQ
What does LiverScript do?
LiverScript is a scientifically formulated supplement that supports both Phase I and Phase II detoxification pathways. It assists the liver in breaking down, neutralising, and eliminating toxins while providing plant extracts, amino acids, and antioxidants that protect liver cells and enhance overall detoxification efficiency.
How does LiverScript protect the liver as well as detoxify it?
While many detox products focus solely on clearing toxins, LiverScript also protects hepatocytes. Antioxidants such as alpha-lipoic acid, green tea extract, and N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) help shield liver tissue from oxidative stress and support glutathione production – the body’s primary intracellular antioxidant. This dual action strengthens liver resilience while maintaining natural detox processes.
Why is Kudzu included and what makes it unique?
Kudzu (Pueraria lobata) is traditionally used in Eastern medicine and is included for its ability to support liver enzyme balance, assist alcohol metabolism, and provide antioxidant protection. Its unique phytochemical profile complements LiverScript’s detoxification and hepatoprotective actions.
How quickly can I expect to notice benefits?
Responses vary. Some individuals report improved digestion, steadier energy, or reduced bloating within a few weeks. For others, benefits emerge gradually. Consistent use – paired with a balanced diet and adequate hydration – supports optimal liver function over time.
When is the best time of day to take LiverScript?
LiverScript can be taken at any time of day. However, many practitioners prefer dosing at night, as the body’s natural detoxification activity is more active during sleep.
Is it safe to use LiverScript continuously?
Yes. When indicated, LiverScript is suitable for ongoing daily use and helps protect against the dietary and environmental stressors encountered routinely. As with any long-term protocol, periodic review with a healthcare practitioner is advisable. is more active during sleep.
Can LiverScript be taken long-term?
Yes. LiverScript can be part of a daily wellness routine to maintain liver health and antioxidant capacity. A practitioner may recommend occasional breaks if using it continuously for several months.
Can I use LiverScript if I have a fatty liver?
Yes. Fatty liver is closely associated with metabolic syndrome, obesity, and insulin resistance. LiverScript, combined with dietary and lifestyle interventions, may support healthier liver function in individuals with fatty liver concerns.
Can I take LiverScript if I only occasionally drink alcohol?
Yes. Even moderate or occasional alcohol intake can create oxidative stress. LiverScript supports efficient alcohol metabolism and helps buffer this stress. It is not a remedy for heavy drinking but supports the liver’s natural detoxification capacity.
Can I use LiverScript during a detox or “cleanse”?
Yes. LiverScript supports both Phase I (toxin breakdown) and Phase II (binding and elimination) detoxification pathways, making it suitable for structured cleanses as well as everyday support. Ensure good hydration and a balanced diet during any detox programme.
